Alerts

Hear about downtime, on your terms: channels, quiet hours, reminders.

nextDash can tell you when something goes down, and when it comes back. Downtime alerts go to the channel you choose: Slack, Discord, Telegram, Gotify, ntfy, Pushover, and through Apprise to mail, Matrix, Signal and a hundred more. The same channels carry alerts from containers, Unraid and backups.

Quiet hours hold those alerts while a window is open, for example at night. When the hours end, one summary says what is still going on and what recovered by itself. Some kinds always get through, such as an expired certificate, a mass outage and a failed backup. Reminders repeat an alert that is still open. Maintenance windows are different: inside one, a failure opens no incident and does not count against uptime.

Try it

  1. Open Config, then Behavior, then Status and alerts.
  2. Pick a channel and send a test.
  3. Turn on Quiet hours and choose which kinds always get through.
