This round went in four directions. Your server can now tell the people who use it whether things work, with a page of its own. Your dashboard can show what your media stack is doing, right next to your bookmarks. The Appearance settings are easier to find your way around, and tags now recognise the self-hosted apps you bookmark. Below is what changed in v1.19.x, and the reasoning behind it.
A status page for the people who use your services
v1.19.0 adds a page at /s/<token>. It shows one overall line, groups of services with 30 days of history, and a banner for planned maintenance. Visitors never see error details, container images or internal addresses.

Set it up under Config → Status page: turn it on, copy the link, make groups. A service can combine a monitored bookmark and a container, and the worse of the two counts. nextDash has no login, so to share the page over the internet, let your reverse proxy pass only /s/ and /static/status/.
Tiles for the media stack
v1.19.4 to v1.19.8 added widgets for the apps next to your server: Jellyfin, Emby and Plex (what was added lately, with real posters), Sonarr and Radarr (what airs next), Seerr (requests), qBittorrent and SABnzbd (downloads), and Home Assistant. Jellyfin, Emby and Plex also have a Now playing tile that refreshes every 10 seconds.

Plex goes through Tautulli on purpose: its API key only reads, where Plex’s own token opens the whole account. A tile also used to flash “Loading…” between readings and refreshed only every other beat. That is fixed. Add a widget now has a picker you can search by name.
A calmer Appearance screen
Appearance had grown into a long list. In v1.19.7 its nine tabs sit under three labels, panels fold and say what they are set to, and Fine-tune keeps the backdrop sliders out of sight until you want them. The action bar gets five button sizes and an animation dropdown that plays the style on the real bar as you pick it.
Tags that know your apps
Suggestions now recognise self-hosted apps by name: Sonarr at 192.168.1.20:8989 or sonarr.home.lan gets #self-hosted and a tag for what it does. Subjects sit in a tree, and Shift + T opens a tag view of every bookmark. A tag you remove by hand stays refused.
Smaller changes
- A weekly digest of health, containers and new releases.
- The page filter stays at the top on a phone.
- Container updates show their steps and a log while they run.
Upgrading
docker pull ghcr.io/jordibrouwer/nextdash:latest
# or
docker pull foobar1452/nextdash:latest
Unraid users: update the container from the Docker tab. No configuration changes are needed. Full notes are in the changelog; the source is at github.com/jordibrouwer/nextdash.
